The big stone to be derived from of place name “Oishi" around this area is enshrined in the shrine. From this place, you can see the quiet farm village scenery, and look at Mt. Fuji from the hill.

Origin of “Oishi"

“Oishi" means a much big stone. This stone was called “Oishi God" from 8 meters in height, girth approximately 25 meters, the old days. The stone has a small “Hokora", and there is an annual festival as “Ubusunagami (one’s tutelary god)" of the Kajiwara family every year on April 4. This stone is very big, so it is handed down this area was named “Oishi".
