Kawaguchiko Winter Fireworks

The “Winter Fireworks" is a signature winter event (or tradition) of Lake Kawaguchiko. Thanks to the crisp, cold winter air, you can enjoy an especially vivid and beautiful fireworks display. When the surface of the lake is calm and there is no wind, you can see spectacular reflections of the fireworks on Lake Kawaguchiko.

Schedule of 2026

The fireworks display is held 11 times on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) between January 24th and February 23rd. The display runs for approximately 20 minutes, from 8:00 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. At around 7:30 p.m., a single firework will be launched to signal the start of the event.

The main venue is Oike Park, but fireworks are also launched from Tatamiiwa and Yagizaki Park, meaning the display is visible from almost anywhere along the lakeshore. Fireworks are sometimes launched simultaneously from all three locations—please enjoy this synchronized display!
