Usobuki flood control tunnel

The Lake Kawaguchiko received 1982 and 1983 consecutive typhoon damage, so construction began in 1984 to check the flooding damage. Total business expense approximately 5 billion yen was taken and was completed in 1993, 1,800 meters of total length, the ability for drainage are 22.2 tons per second. It does flood control for flooding beforehand, and can lower water level of approximately 1cm Lake Kawaguchiko in a day.

Waterway outlet

This waterway joins “Shishidome power plant Usobuki waterway" at Fujiyoshida-shi through the Mt. Usobuki-Yama (Mt. Tenjo-Yama).
