Mt. Kenashiyama

From the summit, you can enjoy a panoramic view with Mt. Fuji directly in front of you, Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Saiko below, and Lake Yamanaka visible in the distance to the left. The hiking trail to the top of Mt. Kenashiyama takes about 3 hours round trip. (When climbing, please ensure you are properly dressed and equipped for hiking.)

The trailheads for Mt. Kenashiyama are located at Nagahama or just before the Bunkado Tunnel (Please refer to the map below). While the climbing season is generally from April to November (excluding the winter months of December to March), please be aware that snow may still remain in April. Also, keep in mind that the sun sets much earlier in November, so please plan your hike with caution.
