The Lakeside Solitary Momiji

This large maple (momiji) is situated along the lakeside walking path. Due to its secluded location, it is only seen by people walking or cycling along the path. Those who happen upon it often pause to admire the magnificent sight, taking their time to enjoy the scenery.

Although there are only a few maples here, they possess a striking presence. This might be the only spot where you can frame Mt. Fuji, the maples, and Unoshima Island in a single shot. It is located about 300 meters from the Oishi Park parking lot, so be sure to stop by if you are in the area during the autumn foliage season.
