Yagisaki park

Yagizaki park spreading out in the Lake Kawaguchiko southern coast is the beautiful park where herb and flowers are cultivated. It becomes the exhibition space of “The Lake Kawaguchiko herb festival" held for from June to July every year. During a festival period, the display of fireworks and the performance of the jazz band, the sale of the herb seedling, the lighting up of the night are held.(*Through 2019)

It is the prefecture eminent place where a wild bird is seen. You can observe various creatures in the waterside of Lake Kawaguchiko and can spend leisurely time.

There are “Rokkakudo temple" built on the island in the park northeast, and “Kawaguchiko Muse-Kan" in the park west.

Kawaguchiko Muse-Kan

It is an art museum displaying a work of Yuki Atae who is a famous doll maker in Japan. Muse is “Goddesses of the art in the Greek myth". As the art museum which displayed his dolls work (Muses), it was opened on June 26, 1993.

The works which are called the sculpture of the cloth are displayed. There are approximately 90 works of children wearing kimono and the fairies, are replaced 2 times a year. And, there is a cafe and a shop selling unique goods.

The Ygisaki Park has been renewed

The tennis court and the gravel parking area were transformed into a grassy square on a gentle hill. You could not see Mt. Fuji so far, but it looks very beautiful from the top of the hill.
