Tsutsuguchi shrine

There was the place where water flowed into the north side of this shrine, the lakefront of the Fuji Lake Hotel and swirled. It was called “Tsutsuguchi", and there were accidents that the villagers who lived in this neighborhood was often swallowed here. Therefore the villagers worshiped the God of water in hopes of no accidents in this place in 1193, and it was called with “Tsutsuguchi Myojin".

The shape of the “Tsutsuguchi" in “the old literature of the Tsutsuguchi" occupies the shores area from the current Fuji Lake Hotel garden to the neighborhood of Torii of the Tsutsuguchi shrine, and there are six inlets. From the east, they were called “Kokubo-kuchi" “Sotokawa-kuchi" “Tamaru-kuchi" “Marui-kuchi" “Yamanishi-kuchi" “Torii-kuchi".
