Ubuyagasaki

From here, you can view Mt. Fuji from beneath the Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge. This spot provides the iconic view of Mt. Fuji from Lake Kawaguchiko, often featured in brochures and guidebooks.
This location rose to fame thanks to the achievements of photographer Koyo Okada, who dedicated his life to capturing Mt. Fuji. (He is best known for the photograph of Mt. Fuji featured on the Japanese 1,000 yen bill.) He took his first photograph of Mt. Fuji at Ubuyagasaki in April 1914, before the Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge existed.
To commemorate the life of Koyo Okada, a bronze relief is placed here, facing Mount Fuji, at this spot closely associated with him.

Ubuyagasaki Shrine is also located on Ubuyagasaki Cape. While it may not be very prominent from the surroundings, the hill offers a wide view of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. If you stop by Ubuyagasaki, we recommend visiting this venerable shrine.
Manhole of Ubusagasaki
The manhole cover at Ubuyagasaki features a composition of the Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge and Mount Fuji visible from this location. However, due to the actual positioning, you can never see the exact same scenery in reality.
