Oishi Sengen shrine

It was erected in the times of the Emperor Murakami (926-967). A big fire was in 1,917 years around this shrine. On this occasion, the main shrine and the facilities suffered damage, but the divine spirit was safe.

This Shinto shrine is Mitarai Sengen (the place that quiets a heart, and making oneself presentable) for Sengen Hongu. It combined with the Nichigetsu shrine of the village shrine in 1955 and was renamed to “Sengen Nichigetsu shrine". In the local Oishi district, it is called “Oishi Sengen shrine" or “Sengen shrine".
