Komagari View Plaza

It is an observation plaza on the Komagari Cape, above Komagari Tunnel. This is the place where there was the Komagari-en well known as a ruined hotel.

Komagari-en
It opened in 1952. Although it discontinued its business in 1994, the building was left without being demolished. It was dismantled leaving a part of the base by a policy of Fujikawaguchiko-machi in 2004. Fujikawaguchiko-machi was going to assume the base an observation deck, but was dismantled afterwards. The reason Komagyoen went out of business was that it was unable to meet safety standards due to repeated additional constructions.

When you go up the walk road and go ahead through Old Kamakura Road to the right, you can go to the neighborhood of Gokoku shrine which is famous for the gregariousness of the hydrangea in a 20-minute walk.
