Near the parking lot of Hahano Shirataki fall

It’s a little far from Lake Kawaguchiko, but we recommend you to visit there. You can get a full view of Lake Kawaguchiko and Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge, Unoshima Island, and Mt.Fuji. And it’s located only 10 minutes drive from Kawaguchi Asama Shrine. The scenery of lake that you cannot see in the lakeside spreads out below you.

The particularly recommended season is July when green of trees are vivid. However, you can see wonderful scenery every season. Please be careful as the road on the way freezes in winter.

Tenku-no Torii (Torii gate in the sky)

It’s on the way to “Hahano-shirataki fall". Why don’t you stop by as you go to the waterfall? Although it has been maintained as the place to worship from a distance, it became a hot topic on SNS, and people rushed into there. Therefore, there are some areas where you can’t go in now, please be careful.

It is a large observation deck overlooking Mt.Fuji. From the upper deck, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mt.Fuji to the foot. At the cafe on the upperdeck, you can relax and enjoy a luxurious view of Mt.Fuji.

There are also sofas outside, so we recommend taking a time outside on a sunny day.

Top of Tenjoyama Mountain

To the top of Tenjoyama mountain, you go up to Tenjozan Park by ropeway and hike for about 20 minutes from there. Please go if you have enough time.

You will be able to spend a pleasant time with the refreshing feeling and beautiful scenery after climbing. On the top of the mountain, Komitake Shrine is enshrined with facing to Mt.Fuji.

Tenjoyama park

There is the Tenjoyama park in the place that you go up by a ropeway. The view on a sunny day is the best and you can see the cityscape of Fujiyoshida-city and Fujikawaguchiko-town under your eyes and also you can overlook the big Mt.Fuji.

There is a hiking course from Tenjoyama Park and you can go down to the Funatsuhama parking lot at the foot (of course you can go up). In particular, there are 100,000 hydrangeas in the hiking course, and we recommend the best time to see them from mid-July.

Promenade in front of the hotels on the shore of Lake Kawaguchiko

This area with hotels on the lakeside is an excellent Mt.Fuji view spot. On the walking road that stretches along the lakeside, a lot of people always come and go to see the scenery.

The sceanary of Mt.Fuji with Mt.Tenjo on the left is a beautiful view that has been popular for a long time.

Ubuyagasaki shrine

This is the only place in the area where you can shoot the shrine, Lake Kawaguchiko, and Mt. Fuji at the same time. It is a small Shrine built on the hill of Ubuyagasaki, but its the history is very old and originates from as a subordinate shrine of the Kawaguchi Asama Shrine erected in 865 years.

Speaking of Mt.Fuji in Lake Kawaguchiko is “Sakasa Fuji",the upside-down reflection of Mt.Fuji, seen from Ubuyagasaki. We often see the composition recently that Kawaguchiko Ohashi bridge and Mt.Fuji were photographed from this place together. It became so famous as a lot of foreign tourists drive up there by tour bus.

By the way, the upside-down reflection of Mt.Fuji is not a view that is often seen only from Ubuyagasaki. If it is the day when there is no wind and the lake is calm, you can see it at most places of the northern coast of Lake Kawaguchiko. You are more likely to be able to see it in an early morning from the daybreak.

Kawaguchiko Ohashi bridge

Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge has been selected as one of the 100 best roads in Japan and the scenery is very beautiful. You can walk across the bridge, so you can take a picture of the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji from anywhere.

However, please be careful about the cars that pass through the bridge when walking or shooting. We sometimes see people taking pictures on the road, but don’t enter the road because it is very dangerous.

From the ship on the Lake Kawaguchiko, you can take a picture of Mt.Fuji which you cannot take from the lake side.

Momiji tunnel

The “Momiji tunnel" is the place where composition of　Japanese maple and Mt.Fuji are splendid. As well as the autumn when is the season of colored leaves, other season is recommended too.

You can see scenery of refreshing Mt.Fuji at the time when the Japanese maple is green. Please come in June when the new leaves have begun to grow.

Oishi park

The view of Mt. Fuji seen from Oishi Park is very beautiful with balanced ridges on the left and right. In this park, various flowers bloom every season and is always crowded of tourists and photographers.

The recommended season is during the Herb Festival where you can see lavender carpets. However, it is a characteristic of this Oishi park that show beautiful scenery regardless of a season.

The Flowers road to extend to the west of Oishi park is also the perfect place where you can take Mt.Fuji beautifully. Canola flowers begin to bloom from late April and you can enjoy the road of various flowers throughout the seasons.

You can see the carpet of cluster of red Kokia in the end of the Flower road in autumn. The combination of this red Kokia and Mt.Fuji is very popular, too.

Nagasaki park

When you want to take a picture of “THE Mt.Fuji" that is nothing other than the Mt.Fuji and a lake, this is the place. It is the place that has jutted out into the lake, and there is nothing to block the scenery. The opposite coast is flat and there are no tall buildings. And you can see the ridgeline of Mt. Fuji extending the longest to the left and right.

As you approach the Nagasaki tunnel, big Mt.Fuji jumps into your eyes suddenly.In July, about 200m hydrangea flowers line up along the road. It is also perfect photography spot in the season of cherry blossoms.

Momiji-Kairo(Japanese Maple Corridor)

“Momiji-Kairo" of the main place of the Fujikawaguchiko Momiji Festival is the spot that can take Mt.Fuji beautifully. It is beautiful not to mention the season of colored leaves, but is recommended in the season of green leaves too.

Promenade near the Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum

The brick promenade that leads from the Kawaguchiko Circle Hall to the Kawaguchiko Museum of Art is the perfect place to take a leisurely walk while looking out at Mt.Fuji.

You can take Mt.Fuji beautifully from any places on the promenade. And as you get closer to the Kawaguchiko Museum of Art, you can take a picture of Mt.Fuji with the large Kawaguchiko ohashi Bridge in it.

Yagisaki park

Yagizaki park is the place where is popular in a main event venue of the Herb Festival. However, there are not many spots where you can see Mt.Fuji beautifully because the park to be located in the southern coast of Lake Kawaguchiko. From the observation deck close to the Kawaguchiko Muse-Kan in the edge of the park, you can take the scenery of Mt.Fuji that opened out widely.

And cherry blossom trees are really wonderful in spring and the park has largest number at Lake Kawaguchiko.

Unoshima island

You can only go to Unoshima Island during the annual festival, or otherwise you can go by boat by yourself. Therefore the photograph of Mt.Fuji from the Unoshima island may be a little precious. You can take a picture of Mt.Fuji holding trees in the precincts of Fuji Omuro Sengen shrine on the left.

Mt.Koyodai

Koyodai, located in the mountains on the south side of Lake Saiko, is far from the city, so you can see the Aokigahara Jukai and Mt.Fuji that spread across the foot. Looking at Mt.Fuji from Koyodai, you can see that Mt.Fuji is connected to where you are. You can feel the vast Aokigahara Jukai.

In autumn, you can see the beautiful scenery of colored foliage as the name “Koyo”(“autumn leaves“ in English) suggests.

Chureito Pagoda

Recently it has become a standard popular spot, but it is still recommended as a place to take beautiful pictures of Mt.Fuji and the Five-storey Pagoda. Furthermore, it would be great if you could take a picture with “Sakura", but it is quite difficult to visit while taking care of the blooming of cherry blossoms and the weather. It would be pretty lucky if you could take everything together in a photo.

It is located in Fujiyoshida City, and it is a 15-minute drive from Lake Kawaguchiko.

Kawaguchiko Station

As you head to Kawaguchiko Station by train, Mt. Fuji gradually becomes larger and make you feel better. And when you arrive at Kawaguchiko Station, a big Mt.Fuji appears in front of you and everyone takes pictures unanimously.

However, there are very few places that you can take beautiful Mt.Fuji because there are many an electric wire and signboards in around Kawaguchiko Station. It is a beautiful station building, but the scenery is very disappointing. But there are the spots where electric wires do not get into. You devise a camera angle in various ways, and please take a photograph of the station and Mt.Fuji.
